Purpose of the role
The purpose is to help build a professional fundraising function from an early stage: strategy, relationships, disciplined processes, accountability and learning.
Fundraising is the lead function; communications serve it through clear proposals, relevant materials and consistent contact.

Core scope
- Contribute to a fundraising strategy and case for support
- Research and segment potential donors and partners
- Build a fundraising pipeline and CRM-ready documentation practices
- Prepare relevant proposals, campaigns and partnership materials
- Support consistent outreach, follow-up and donor stewardship
- Coordinate communications in support of fundraising objectives
- Propose measurable indicators, reporting and a learning process

Essential experience and capabilities
- Professional written and spoken communication
- Ability to research and structure contacts
- Disciplined work with objectives, pipelines and follow-up
- Reliability and discretion when handling personal data and partner relationships
- Excellent Bulgarian and working English
- Ability to work from an early stage without an established large team
- A realistic approach to a small organisation in development

Engagement and terms
The engagement format, scope and terms will be defined after project planning is completed and in line with secured funding.
